Abstract

After the attack on the Twin Towers on September 11, Europe has also been the victim of clusters of terrorist attacks. These are episodic attacks on the symbols of European culture. Of them, the image that reaches the general public is what the media communicate to them. This article takes into account the online articles produced by four Italian newspapers, two right and two left, on three attacks: the 13 November 2015 in Paris, 22 March 2016 in Brussels and 14 July 2016 in Nice. The goal is to capture the representation of these events conveyed by the press to its readers. The use of linguistic statistical analysis is used to extract these media lexicons relating to terrorist attacks.
